Stedman-Wade Health Services
Stedman-Wade Health Services is a not for profit community health center in Fayetteville, NC that serves over 4,000 patients a year from the surrounding 3 counties utilizing a sliding-scale payment model. It has been recognized as a patient-centered medical home and is part of the Physician Practice Connections Rendition Program through the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Clinic staff consistently engage in community programs, health fairs and other efforts to ensure the health of the larger Fayetteville community is improved.
The Fellow placed at Stedman-Wade Health Services will serve as a medical scribe in the clinical role and a health coach in the community role. As a medical scribe, the Fellow will work in Stedman-Wade's downtown location will take notes in the EHR on patient encounters as well as help room patients and obtain patient histories. In the community role, the Fellow will work in Stedman-Wade's Health Department location being a health coach focusing on preventative health measures that can affect patient health outcomes.
