Free Clinic of Rockingham County
It is the mission of the Free Clinic to recognize the right of low income uninsured citizens of Rockingham County to have access to health care that compassionately meets their basic medical and pharmacy needs. The clinic aims to teach their patients how to manage their diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol along with general medicine. This location is a non-profit organization and relies upon donations and charitable trusts and foundations to financially support the quality care of patients. The vision of this clinic it to meet the healthcare needs of low income, uninsured residents in the diverse community of Rockingham County.
The MedServe Fellow placed at the Free Clinic of Rockingham County will function as a combined medical assistant and a community health worker in a full-time capacity. If the Fellow is applicable they will also serve as a Spanish-language medical interpreter as their secondary clinical role. As a Community Health Worker the Fellow will serve the Med-Assist and Pharmacy Assistance Program, work as a clinic enrollment worker and provide fundraising support for activities.
