Our Early Bird Fellowship application closed on December 1.
Our Main application is due on February 15, 2019!
Our mission is to immediately improve the health of communities and vitality of primary care practices while exposing tomorrow’s most promising future providers to the great potential for community impact possible through primary care practice in “medically undeserved” communities. We see a future where every medical student starts his or her medical education seeing the full potential of great community-based primary care. For too long, medical education has largely been separated from the transformative work being done in smaller communities. We believe that immersion in the best of rural and other community-based primary care is a necessary step to encouraging the next generation of primary care providers.
Fellows Across the State
At MedServe, we know that there are communities in North Carolina with a great deal of health need. These are also communities where primary care physicians and practices are doing amazing work. By becoming an active part of a health care team, Fellows won’t just learn – they’ll help. And that help means a healthier community. As you can see, there is tremendous need in the communities where Fellows may be working. But teams of dedicated healthcare professionals are doing exciting work to meet those need. By joining MedServe, Fellows have an opportunity to learn from and help amplify the good work of these practices.
